From the artist:For me personally, this is my most beautiful painting. I don’t say it’s my favorite, because if I ever create my favorite painting, that will mean I’m ready to die. That will be my last painting. But this is the most beautifully detailed painting I’ve been able to create. I sold this to my publisher, then I just sent the check back and took back the painting – the only time I ever did that. These days, if someone wanted to buy it, I don’t think I would sell it. It’s not money, it’s memory.
