A lovely 18th French Country Cabinet with rich patina and tons of character. This cabinet features golden-hued cherry wood with peg construction and handmade metalwork hinges and handles. The top, with its old woodworm holes and previous repairs, shows its age beautifully. There’s a large central drawer made from substantial pieces of wood and joined with hand-cut dovetails. There are two large cabinet doors, one with a key lock that works smoothly, the other with an internal lever lock. These are accented with subtly carved fans at the top corners and conceal a spacious interior. The scalloped bottom apron has a large central fan carving and two simple hearts.
The key is included and the locks work well.

This is in great condition considering its age and use. There are signs of previous woodworm damage as well as previous repairs. There are some cracks, fairly typical for the age of the wood, most notably at the cabinet doors. Overall, the piece is heavy and well built, and will last another couple hundred years with proper care.
