This very large Tree of Life is a grand example of Bijan J. Bijan’s signature style of intricate brass wall hangings. Composed of a large etched trunk giving way to a dense canopy of layered branches. There are birds dispersed throughout, accented in white enamel.
It is etch-signed Bijan on the bottom left of the front of the trunk, as well as signed and dated “Bijan 85” in the casting on the backside of the trunk. At 65” wide, this is by far the largest example I could find by the artist.
The branches are able to fold into the trunk to make transportation more convenient.

Condition:
Overall, this piece is in great condition. There is some loss to the white enamel on many of the birds. There are also a few spots of minor corrosion to the brass.
